The Windows operating system constantly refers to the registry to get information about all of the components such as hardware and software which are installed on the computer. The registry tells Windows what to do and how to access the various programs, files, and processes. However, the registry can contain bad information which sends Windows off doing useless tasks or running unneeded routines. Sometimes errors occur including the freezeing. Other times the system slows down. Because of the sheer number of factors that can affect the registry, there’s no one size fits all approach. You can’t just go into the registry and remove the bad information because it’s nearly impossible to decipher which information is good and which information is bad. That’s a job better suited for software. I should like to commend Registry Easy to you ! You can try ! Good luck!

Wish lists. Lisa Bettany on Leo’s show was rhapsodising about the process of picking her ultimate camera rig. It obviously gave her a lot of pleasure to think about all the different options, roll that about in her mind, imagine what it would be like, and come up with a final list. We something similar on the Internet with question like What is your favorite X? These are often surprisingly spirited and introspective discussions. Maybe related to window shopping.

Oh. Picture credits. When you click to insert picture, choose insert from URL. Copy the picture address (if using google images, click on link to see picture full size image) then click elsewhere first to get the button “insert into post” button to be clickable.

I put an extra “Photo credit to source” under my pictures just to link it to picture also.

If you want to link already inserted photos from previous post, you also need to find the address to those images then left click on the picture, in edit mode, to a window where you can enter the address of the picture link into the info of the picture.

    Hope this helps.

pawn shop rings are usually really expensive. i've had good luck at zales, any jewelry store around a military base, and believe it or now, k-mart. 70% off all fine jewelry. i know it's not the most romantic place to go, but they do have good rings for good prices.

i knew i was getting a ring, and i was the one who did not want to spend a lot. we went to a mall and did a lot of looking at all the stores. i found one 80% off at a nice store. it was pre-owned and we got a big ol' military discount. just make it a fun day, make it about having fun trying to find the perfect ring. don't rush, just look.
do you have any good antique shops around?

    hope this helps. good luck.

Hitting the print screen key (or combo of keys, I have to use Fn-PrtSc on my laptop) will do the same thing in KDE for Linux (Kubuntu, Fedora with KDE, etc). Ubuntu is Gnome.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I thought I was going to have to jump through huge hoops to take a screen shot in Linux.

And at least in KDE, to get that delayed screen shot, you have to change “Capture Mode” to “Window Under the Cursor” or “Full Screen” or “Section of Window” and then you can set the delay. I can provide screen shots if you'd like :) There might also be a CLI incantation to take a delayed screen shots. I can ask a friend if you'd like. You have my email.

Sometimes everything just sits on a medium spin cycle – the usual churning, albeit stagnant. And then, not so much.

As for change (and changing the look of the blog), I can't comment on what you tried previously (or might want), I do know I've been struggling with re-theming mine for months, but it's so much more complicated (and time consuming) than I thought. (And then there are the 500+ posts, the 100+ drafts, the thousands of images, tags, comments… ugh, I need a consultant, and a budget for a consultant.)

    So, I getcha.

I'm thinking shoe shopping is in order. Or shoe window shopping. Or virtual shoe window shopping.
