Rich and I both approached artist Rob Moran for an interview last November. Neither of us knew that the other had done so. That should tell you just how much his art affected both of us individually. Rob is an extremely busy creator and was gracious enough to answer over 20 of our questions.  He labours over every brushstroke that he lays down on paper formulating hard-edged timeless illustrations. In the initials, you are thinking of the right approach, but there is a little confusion on the syntax of conditionals. (Also, it can help to write in English the logic for what you want to do first, and then "translate" to code to help clear up potential confusion while coding)

In general, conditionals are:

if ( some condition ) {
  statements;
}
else if ( some other condition ) {
  statements;
}
else {
  statements;
}

And within these, you can also contain nested "if" statements. The "else" will always match the innermost "if" unless you use braces { } to get the grouping you want.

There can't be a "dangling else," for example as the first statement in an "if" block, as in:

Each "else" needs to have a specific "if" it is attached to; and it cannot be attached to an "if" unless that "if" has a "then" part:

To check cond1 and then inside that check cond2 and cond3 would be:

Also, there is an easier way than having to compare each initial to the chars for A, Z, a, and z. There is a boolean function in the C++ libraries which will test a character to see if it is a letter. So if you have a character in a variable called c, the syntax would be isalpha (c)

You can use a loop to have the user enter initials until they are correct (letters). A do-while loop blindly executes the loop body once, and at the end it checks the condition to see whether to repeat the loop, or continue on with the program statements after the loop. Here are the relevant parts to check initials (I always mention any include files necessary for any functions I call, since they are needed in order for the code snippet to work):

This prompts the user to enter the initials, reads in three chars, and checks each char. It will continue this loop as long as "not isalpha( initial1 ) or not isalpha( initial2) or not isalpha (initial3)" — in other words, it will keep prompting the user and reading in initials until the user enters three letters. Then execution will continue with the statements following the loop.

What you would do is put C and D both on the same side of P, rather than have P be between C and D. Then, your 2 angles would be adjacent not vertical. So, include that P is between both A&B, and also C & D

With all the Android smartphones to choose from, the field of competition is getting a little crowded. However, the 4G battle field has a much lower population. The Revolution was released on Verizon’s LTE network. Since the Revolution is only the third LTE phone, there is even less competition on the LTE playing field. I don't consider Calgary's C-Train a “failure” nor do I “hate” it, as you stated earlier. Nor do I consider SkyTrain as “god.” Those are your words, not mine. They are only inanimate objects.

What I do hate is the poor planning and maintenance C-Train was initially built and operated under. Thay have improved their act with respect to signal maintenance, but only after a decade when several tragedies occurred. But the planning of the communities C-Train attempts to serve needs a total rethink … along with the design of several at-grade crossings and some key station locations.

Yes, there's hundreds of thousands of passenger trips a day on C-Train, but evidently a huge portion of those passengers get to the stations by car because the city council of the day failed to link C-Train to compact transit-oriented development and instead linked it to sprawling subdivisions. The high emissions and large number of park n' ride stalls prove it. It is a failure of planning, not a failure of the rail system, and the system cannot keep up as long as people need to drive cars so much.
